As you can imagine, with 3 kids 3 years old and under, toys take over my home. Most of them are housed in the playroom but they often find their way downstairs to "my" space. I needed a toy box that was grown-up looking, fit in with the room, and... well, CHEAP!

I used Rustoleum Antique Copper. It covered all the rust and brought it back to life. It now sits next to my new, beautiful, Fireplace and holds toys and blankets. I am in LOVE!The best part is all the character it has. The dings and antique handles are my favorite.
What a great idea! I use a lot of baskets, but they leave "basket remnants" all over the carpet that I have a vacuum frequently. If I can find great tubs like you, I will have to do the same!

That's a great use for them, what a rich color!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I have the smae one for toys in my family room. Fits in much better then a kiddie toy box. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am an Interior Designer that stumbled onto your blog and I think it is great what you are doing here! I have a blog also to show people how to decorate their home on a budget so I love to see others promoting that also. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very great idea in here! I would love to try this one out. I have lots of tin boxes in the garage. It is time to use them now.
